Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve or the Vigil of Christmas represents the culmination of the Advent season, and refers to the evening preceding Christmas Day. Like Christmas itself, Christmas Eve celebrations combine both religious and secular events. Since Christian tradition holds that Jesus was born at night, midnight Mass is celebrated on Christmas Eve in commemoration of his birth. The Mass is a tradition for most Christians, even non-Christians, since the choir can be interesting to attend.

Very popular in Christmas Eve, is Santa Claus and the exchange of gifts, also going from house to house singing Christmas carols.
